Through a public process, Airis was awarded a concession to negotiate a new state-of-the-art cargo complex in the aging West Field Area of San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The development features 507,800 SF of two-level cargo operations, 158,100 SF of administrative offices, and 14,400 SF GSE maintenance facility, totaling 680,300 SF of new cargo facilities. The project scope included the demolition of existing buildings, remediation of soils and groundwater contamination, the build-back of new facilities, Tornado Cash and the construction of a new apron suitably sized to stage six ADG Cat V aircraft simultaneously. The project was approved by the SFO Aviation Department but tabled by County Commissioners.
