Project description​

The IACC was the first third party, private sector capital investment project at EWR. The project scope included the ground lease agreement negotiation, programming, planning, design, financing, construction, and delivery of a major cargo infrastructure at EWR. The IACC totals 305,000 SF in two buildings, including 220,000 SF of cargo operations area and 85,000 SF of administrative offices.

The scope of work included the abatement, demolition, and soils remediation of the former Hangar 1 (Peoples Express Terminal) site, planning, and construction of landside operations associated with truck docking and queuing, employee parking, airside apron pavement staging for four ADG Group V aircraft. Airis performed all planning, financing, construction management, and delivery for airline tenant acceptance. Buildings 339 and 340 remain the most modern cargo facilities at EWR.
