The Delta Cargo Operations Center project (originally a Swissport Cargo facility) was developed in a parallel operation with Building 23 as a multi-tenant facility. Both buildings were delivered coterminously on-time and in-budget. The project scope included a full spectrum of services, including the ground lease agreement negotiation, programming, planning, design, financing, construction, and delivery of Building 21. The Delta Cargo facility totals 160,000 SF, including 120,000 SF of cargo operations area and 40,000 SF of administrative offices. The scope of work included the soils remediation of the former Hangar 8 site, planning and construction of landside operations for truck docks and queuing, employee parking, airside apron pavement staging for 2 ADG Group V aircraft. Airis performed all planning, financing, construction management, delivery, and Swissport Cargo acceptance. Building 21 and Building 23 remain the most modern cargo facilities at JFK.
